10’s All-Stars Win 1st & 2nd for Second Tournament in a Row
The SRVLL 10U District All-Stars celebrate with their newly won Turf & Dirt “A” bracket 1st place trophy.
This Thursday at Sycamore Valley Park in Danville, the San Ramon Valley Little League 10 Year Old District All-Star Team won 1st place in the “A” bracket of the Tassajara Valley Little League Turf & Dirt Tournament by defeating Livermore Little League, 5-3. The win marks the second year in a row this age group has won the Turf & Dirt tournament—after taking 1st place last year at 9’s—and continues their incredible eight-game winning streak.
While Livermore got on the board first with a 2-run top of the 1st, SRVLL immediately struck back. Aden C singled to center field, Dominic B singled to center field, and Bo K walked, each scoring one run and giving the orange and blue a 3-2 lead.

A Livermore single down the right field line knotted the game back up in the top of the second, but that would be the end of Livermore’s offensive production. In the bottom of the third, SRVLL broke up the tie when Bo drew a bases loaded walk, scoring one run. Then a sacrifice fly by Matty B followed to extend the lead to 5-3.
Chase R started on the hill for SRVLL and earned the win for SRVLL 10U District All-Stars. The “Wild Child” gave up only four hits and three runs (zero earned) over three innings, striking out three and walking two. Connor W collected the save, putting in three full innings of hitless and scoreless work, while striking out two.
Next up for SRVLL 10U District All-Stars is a rematch against Livermore at 8am on Saturday to start their final tournament of the summer, the G.I.T. DIRTY Tournament hosted by Granada Little League of Livermore.
Also this past Thursday, only 100 yard aways on another field at Sycamore, the SRVLL 10’s Tournament Team lost to Granada Little League in a heartbreaker to take 2nd place in the Turf & Dirt “B” bracket.

The action was back and forth all game. SRVLL jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Arlo B singled, scoring one run, Tyler H singled, scoring one run, Mason H drew a walk, scoring one run, and Brody D singled, scoring two runs.
Granada came back and tied the game at five in the bottom of the third thanks to a single and a wild pitch.
In the top of the fourth, SRVLL broke up the tie when Tyler drew a walk, scoring one run. Then a double by Drake B followed to extend the lead to 9-5.
But Granada battled back yet again in bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 10-9.
In the top of the 5th, SRVLL’s Ethan M walked, which helped the orange and blue tie the game at ten, but Granada would have just enough left in the bottom of the 5th to score the go ahead run with a double to left field, and go on to hold the 11-10 lead for the win.
Arlo B opened the game on the mound for SRVLL. The right-handed pitcher allowed three hits and three runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking four.
Drake provided pop in the middle of the SRVLL lineup, and leading the team with three runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Brody and Drake each collected two hits for SRVLL to compliment the 10 walks earned for the patient-at-the-plate SRVLL squad. Ethan, Tanner L, and Harrison B led the team with two free passes each.
Congratulations to both the 10 Year Old District and Tournament All-Star teams on their second tournament in a row of winning 1st and 2nd place!
