2026 President’s Letter: One League, One Valley
Dear San Ramon Valley Little League Community,
As I enter my third year as president of San Ramon Valley Little League (SRV)—a league that has been a part of my life for decades as a player, coach, and official representative—I can honestly say I have never been more excited for an upcoming year of baseball than I am for what lies ahead in 2026.
The reason? For the first time in over thirty years, we have the entire San Ramon Valley community back together as one San Ramon Valley Little League—thanks to the recent merger with Tassajara Valley Little League (TVLL).
This united community was the San Ramon Valley Little League I remember as a kid, before TVLL became its own league in 1992. Games were played from Alamo to Blackhawk, and everywhere in-between. Downtown Danville restaurants were dotted with SRV hats every weekend after games. And orange and blue cladded players waved championship banners as they paraded down Hartz Ave. every Fourth of July.
For kids across the entire Valley, SRV gave meaning to their childhood and memories that lasted a lifetime.
And now, in 2026, that SRV is back.
On paper, SRV has never been bigger. Over 1,000 players and coaches are registered to participate this spring season and nearly 800 games will be played between March and May. But what’s even more exciting is the engagement level of our players and families.
This past year, players remained involved with the league throughout the year thanks to our fall developmental academy, SRV swag is seen worn throughout the neighborhood, and our All-Star players and families decorated and filled up eight Fourth of July floats as they rolled through Downtown Danville waving their District and Section championship banners.
But this growth and return to form is not being met with complacency. To truly be One League, One Valley, we started by restructuring our board to best reflect our new broader community, and this group of leadership is more driven than ever to continue making SRV baseball the most meaningful and memorable youth sports experience in the area.
Here are just a few things we have planned for the Valley in 2026:
The best Little League Opening Day ceremony in Northern California, featuring prizes, games, and every team in action across the entire San Ramon Valley.
Improvements to the field conditions at our two premier locations: Los Cerros Middle School and Sycamore Valley Park.
More games at more fields across the community, ranging from Stone Valley to Diablo Vista.
Honoring TVLL’s legacy by continuing their popular The Show Skills Competition and summer tournaments, Turf & Dirt and the Pack Memorial.
Bidding to host all-star competition and provide exciting summer baseball action that unites and inspires the community.
Since 1959, SRV has been a generational institution in youth sports. But as the 2026 baseball campaign draws near, SRV is no longer is just a league with a storied past—it has once again become the best destination to play youth baseball in Northern California.
There has never been a better time or better place to be a youth baseball player than right now in San Ramon Valley Little League.
I look forward with anticipation and excitement to seeing you all at the ball field!
One League, One Valley,
Greg Isom
