TVLL Officially Merges Into SRVLL
Dear SRVLL & TVLL families,
We are excited to announce that Tassajara Valley Little League is officially merging into San Ramon Valley Little League.
Effective immediately, all families who reside or attend schools within the TVLL boundaries are now in the new, expanded SRVLL boundaries.
Why Merge TVLL into SRVLL?
As you may or may not know, these “new” boundaries actually reflect the original SRVLL boundaries that were divided when TVLL started in 1992. This merger not only reunites two leagues, but two communities, and ensures a great future for youth baseball in the area under a refocused, unified mission: to create the most meaningful and memorable youth sports experience across the communities of Danville, Alamo, and Diablo.
Since Little League returned after the pandemic, SRVLL and TVLL decided to face the challenge of rebuilding their leagues by helping each other. Starting in 2022, both leagues independently partnered to host combined seasons. This not only got kids playing baseball again but also allowed friends and neighbors, who interacted in many other areas of life, the opportunity to share the ballfield together, as well.
During this partnership, SRVLL flourished both in growth and on the field. This would not have been possible without TVLL’s support; however, despite integrating more and more each year, the two leagues still operated independently, causing increased operational challenges and contrasting priorities due to our differing circumstances.
Last year, it became clear that operating as one official league was the best path forward for our communities. After a vote of approval by both leagues, a proposal was drafted and submitted to Little League, starting at the District level and eventually reaching their International offices in Williamsport, PA. And as of today, Friday, November 7th, 2025, Little League officially approved to merge TVLL into SRVLL.
This merger is the culmination of a lot of shared volunteer effort that has been championed by both SRVLL and TVLL board members, coaches, and supporters over the past three years – all of whom worked together seamlessly to ultimately provide a great baseball experience to players of both leagues. Specifically, a special thank you to former TVLL President, Dave Cook, and current District 57 President, Dave Wetmore, for their support and guidance in helping make this a reality.
As families of the new SRVLL, here is how this merger immediately impacts you:
What’s New?
One League: San Ramon Valley Little League (SRVLL) will be the officially recognized name moving forward.
New Boundaries: SRVLL’s boundaries now include former TVLL boundaries.
Board of Directors: The SRVLL board will be revisited and composed of board members from both Little Leagues.
All-Stars: Additional SRVLL teams will be considered to accommodate the increased number of players in the league and provide more opportunity to play summer baseball.
2026 Spring Season Registration: If you have already registered for the TVLL or SRVLL spring season, you’re all set. We will carry your registration over into the new merged SRVLL league. If you have not registered yet, we will have more details on how to register within the next week.
What is the Same?
Since our leagues have been participating in combined seasons, very little will change in regard to the upcoming spring season.
Team Formation: Upper Division teams (AA and up) will still be drafted (Majors teams remain legacy), while Lower Division teams (A and below) will be formed based on schools.
TVLL’s Legacy: SRVLL will continue to honor and hold TVLL institutions, like the Pack Memorial Tournament, The Show Skills Competition, and more.
Field Locations: Games and practices will still be held across current SRVLL and former TVLL fields.
In Conclusion
As a Little League that has been around since 1959 and has a renowned history, everyone at SRVLL understands the sentiment and impact that TVLL has had on generations of families over the last 33 years. From big moments on the field to fun pizza parties at Ascona’s, SRVLL is honored to carry TVLL’s legacy into the future, and excited to officially welcome every new family into the SRVLL community.
Today, the Valley is reunited! The SRVLL community is once again made up of players and families throughout the entire San Ramon Valley – from Westside Alamo to Blackhawk, White Gate to Woodranch, and everywhere in between – and we could not be more excited to begin the spring season together as one league and one valley.
See you at the ballpark!
