SRVLL 11’s Walk It Off to Win the District 57 Title
The San Ramon Valley Little League 11 Year-Old District All-Stars captured the District 57 9-11 Year Old Championship on Sunday morning at Granda Little League fields with a heroic walk-off single to defeat Livermore, 3-2. The win marks the league’s second year in a row as 9-11 Year Old District champs.

San Ramon Valley jumped on the board early to take a 1-0 lead in the first inning, thanks to a RBI single by Royce C, scoring Griffin R. Livermore immediately responded, however, tying the game up at 1-1 the following inning.
Royce C hits a single to drive in SRV’s first run of the game.
The game would remain a stalemate all the way into extra innings, driven by the reliable pitching of SRV’s Chase R. The starter threw 5.2 innings, giving up only three hits and striking out four.
But in the top of 7th inning, Livermore edged ahead 2-1, setting the stage for an epic walk off. With a runner on second in the bottom of the 7th, Luke V laid down a bunt that not only resulted in an error that brought across the game-tying run, but advanced him all the way to third base. And with the game-winning run 60 feet away, Dominic B blasted a hard ground ball through the 5-6 hole to win both the game and the District 57 championship for the SRV 11’s.

With their District championship win, the SRV 11’s now travel across the bay to San Mateo where they will participate in the section tournament against Districts 14, 45, and 52. Their first game is Saturday, July 18th.
