Who is eligible to register for San Ramon Valley Little League?

Any child within the League age limits who resides, or who attends a school that lies within the boundaries specified by District 57 and Little League International may register to play with SRVLL. To check your eligibility, please visit the League Finder website.

What documentation do I need to verify residency?

Are there waivers available if I no longer live within the League boundaries?

Yes, but only under limited circumstances. Please contact the League’s Player Agent (listed on the Board of Directors) at [email protected] for more information.

What is “Little League Age”?

A child’s League Age is defined as the age of the child on August 31st of the year in which they will be playing. Please see the Little League Age Chart for reference.

How do I pick a Division for my child?

Choice of Division depends on factors such as age, prior experience, and skill. The Divisions have a wide variety of competitiveness and physical play elements that will match various skill levels. We encourage you to select the Division that will allow your child to thrive and have fun. Please refer to the Division descriptions page for more information. My child is new to baseball, or requires more time to develop. Can he/she play down a Division?

Yes. New players should consider playing at a lower level where competition and instruction will be more appropriate to their skill level. Please contact the League’s Player Agent at [email protected] for more information.

Is my child required to “try out”?

The League conducts player evaluations for the AA, AAA and Majors Divisions only. The evaluation allows the League to field equally competitive teams via a draft process, while also ensuring player safety based on ability level. Everyone plays regardless of how they do at the evaluation. 8 and 9 year olds who elect not to attend evaluations will automatically be assigned to the A Division.

Can my child play with his/her friends or sibling(s)?

Teams in T-Ball, Rookie, Farm and A are largely organized by school. You may also request that your child be placed on a team with a "buddy" and we will do our best to satisfy your request. Upper Division teams (AA, AAA and Majors) are selected through a draft system, so your child may or may not play with their friends (but they will make many new friends during the season). The draft system is also set up to enable siblings playing in the same Division to be placed on the same team.

Are scholarships available?

Reduced registration fee and full scholarships are available upon eligibility verification. Please contact the Registrar (listed on the Board of Directors) for more information.

What equipment does my child need to provide?

Players in all Divisions will need to purchase a baseball glove, bat, pants, belt, athletic supporter (including cup for boys), and socks. Baseball cleats (rubber) are recommended. Your coach will recommend the color of pants and socks to purchase. All players receive a team hat and jersey.

How often are games and practices? When and where are they held?

Practice times and dates are determined by each team manager after teams are assigned. Please refer to the Division descriptions for more information regarding frequency and location of practices.

What kind of bat does my child need? Can my child use their USSSA bat?

Little League expressly prohibits the use of non-authorized bats during play. Bats used during SRVLL games and practices must display the "USA Baseball" logo. For more information, please refer to the Little League bat information website.
