Congratulations to the 12-year-old SRVLL All-Star team as they finished in 3rd place in the 10-team District tournament of the Little League World Series. SRVLL lost Friday night (June 30) in the semifinals in a thrilling extra-inning game against last year's defending NorCal State Champions, Foothill Little League. After trailing 4-2 in the top of the 6th inning, SRV rallied to score two runs to tie the game. Then after turning a terrific double play to get out of a bases loaded, one-out situation in the bottom of the 6th, the game went into extra innings. SRVLL took the lead in the top of the 7th, 5-4. However, the big bats of Foothill were able to prevail with two runs in the bottom of the 7th to win. It was a great semifinal game and SRVLL stood tall against one of the best little league teams in Northern California. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported this group of boys in the International Little League World Series District tournament this summer!
